Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance within industrial and construction environments. Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate wiring and system setup
- Use hand tools, power tools, and low voltage testing equipment safely and effectively
- Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical circuits and components
- Support the installation of low voltage systems, including alarms, communication lines, and security systems
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Help with the preparation of work sites, including setting up ladders, scaffolding, and temporary barriers
- Maintain organized work areas and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly
Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes
- Experience or familiarity with industrial electrician work is a plus
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and voltage testers
- Experience with power tools used in electrical installations
- Understanding of low voltage wiring and circuitry
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job under supervision
