Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our friendly dental team in Medicine Hat. As a key member of our dental practice, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup (cavitron and hand scale)
- Conduct oral health assessments and take digital X-rays, scans as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and recommend appropriate treatments
- Assist with patient consultations, answering questions about procedures and post-care instructions, collaborative diagnosing.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Curve, BOLA AI and Pearl AI. (Training will be provided).
- Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
- Uphold infection control protocols and sterilization standards to ensure patient safety.
- We have a sterilization assistant that will take care of your instruments and help with take down and set up of your operatory for a smooth transition from patient to patient.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental office management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, implants, and general dentistry procedures
- Strong patient service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children and families and team
- Previous dental office experience is an asset but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Must have Valid Dental Hygiene Certification
Position
- Two days per week (some flexibility on dates)
- No evenings or weekends (8-4)

Pay: $58.00-$65.00 per hour
