Auto Imports is looking to add an apprentice to our busy shop! We focus in European and Import vehicles, have 4 journeyman on staff, bays and 2 dedicated advisors. We've been in business since 1958 and are owned and operated by a journeyman technician. We want to grow an apprentice from the ground up! If that apprentice should be you, let’s chat.
We are looking to fill this spot with someone long-term. This is a family business, we treat everyone like family. We will pay for apprenticeship training, commit to sending you to school every year, and provide a tool allowance when you pass each year.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced tools and schematics
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to ensure precise work
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed for parts and equipment handling
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist in vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they develop into major problems
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and professionally
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Qualifications
- Basic mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interactions
- Prior experience with vehicle assembly or maintenance is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate company vehicles as needed

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
