Summary
'Millwrights, Mechanics, and Machinists' are vital to our shipyard operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of our manufacturing and repair processes. Located in Canada, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the construction and maintenance of vessels that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
' Install, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical systems on ships and manufacturing equipment.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately perform repairs.
- Operate welding equipment and conduct repairs on engines and other machinery.
- Collaborate with electrical teams to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately for compliance and record-keeping.'
- Qualifications
' Proven experience as a Millwright, Mechanic, or Machinist within a shipyard or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in Engines and Gearbox installations and alignments of shafting and propulsion.
- Electrical experience including low voltage systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on analysis.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work safely in a maritime environment.
Pay: $30.21-$49.48 per hour
