Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures
- Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Lead team management efforts to foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Implement marketing strategies to increase restaurant visibility and sales
- Maintain adherence to hospitality standards, including serving guests efficiently and professionally
- Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide coaching for continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of food industry standards, food safety, and kitchen operations
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; barista experience is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts
- Knowledge of restaurant management best practices within the food service industry
