Teckmark Label Incis a leading provider of label and flexible packaging located in Dundas Ontario. As part of Teckmark’s continued growth, a pre-press/digital print technician position is available for a highly organized and motivated self starter. The position also includes some light duties in the pressroom and knowledge in digital printing with HP Indigo 6800 an asset.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage customer digital files
- Identify problems within customer supplied files (missing fonts, low res images) and expedite solutions to ensure fast proof turnaround times
- Follow up with customers and project management groups regarding problem jobs
- Ensure customer files conform to manufacturing specifications set out by project management group
- Prioritize work requirements using Teckmark’s internal work order queuing system.
- Must be available to rotate to other departments as workloads dictate.
SKILLS SET:
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Esko Artwork Software Suite an asset
- Experience in narrow web Flexo printing and finishing.
- Experience with colour correcting, text editing and file formatting
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year hands-on digital experience
- Experience in a production environment
- Familiarity in label and flexible packaging manufacturing environment would be an asset
- Highly motivated, team player and excellent problem solver
EDUCATION:
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in a graphic communications environment
