The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to move freight, solve problems, control costs, and maintain accurate inventory records.
You will coordinate LTL, full truckload, and parcel shipments across Canada and the United States from quote through delivery. You will work closely with our warehouses, carriers, customs brokers, third-party logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure orders are shipped accurately and delivered on time.
You will also help improve how we operate by using ERP data, reporting, AI, and automation to strengthen inventory visibility, audit freight costs, monitor carrier performance, and reduce manual work.
What You Will Do
Freight and Transportation
- Quote, book, track, and manage daily LTL and full truckload shipments across Canada and the United States
- Select carriers and negotiate rates based on cost, transit time, service quality, and reliability
- Coordinate freight movement with carriers, brokers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers
- Troubleshoot missed pickups, delays, delivery exceptions, and other shipping issues
- Keep customers and internal teams informed when shipment issues arise
- Prepare cross-border shipping documentation and ensure shipments comply with applicable requirements
- File and manage claims for damaged, delayed, or lost shipments
Parcel Shipping
- Monitor parcel shipments and carrier performance across UPS, FedEx, Loomis, Canpar, and other providers
- Resolve delivery issues, billing disputes, refund requests, and service claims
- Negotiate parcel rates, contracts, and service terms
- Review parcel costs and identify opportunities to improve carrier selection and reduce expenses
Inventory and Order Fulfilment
- Coordinate inventory transfers between our warehouses and fulfilment locations
- Ensure shipments, transfers, receipts, and inventory adjustments are accurately recorded in our ERP system
- Investigate discrepancies between physical inventory, shipping records, warehouse receipts, and ERP data
- Work with warehouse teams to support accurate picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving
- Help maintain inventory visibility across our locations in British Columbia, Washington State, and Georgia
- Support timely order fulfilment by identifying and resolving inventory or shipping issues before they affect customers
Reporting and Process Improvement
- Audit freight and parcel invoices against quotes and recover incorrect or unsupported charges
- Track freight costs, carrier performance, delivery times, claims, and other key logistics metrics
- Use data analysis to identify cost savings, service issues, and operational bottlenecks
- Develop and improve logistics reports, carrier scorecards, inventory controls, and freight-audit processes
- Use AI and automation tools to improve quoting, shipment tracking, invoice auditing, exception management, and reporting
- Continuously improve logistics processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and customer service
What We Are Looking For
- At least five years of experience in logistics, freight, transportation, distribution, or inventory operations
- Strong hands-on experience with North American LTL and full truckload shipping
- Experience managing parcel carriers and resolving delivery and billing issues
- Good understanding of freight classes, accessorial charges, appointment deliveries, limited-access locations, and cross-border shipping
- Experience working with ERP, inventory management, warehouse management, or transportation management systems
- Understanding of inventory transfers, receiving, reconciliation, and multi-location inventory tracking
- Experience working with carriers, freight brokers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate rates and service terms
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills
- Interest in using AI, automation, and technology to improve logistics operations
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing quotes, invoices, inventory records, and shipping documents
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm, responsive, and accountable when problems arise
Additional Assets
- Experience with Cin7 Core, ShipStation, FreightPop, Shopify, or similar platforms
- Experience with e-commerce order fulfilment
- Experience with ocean freight, containers, customs clearance, and drayage
- Experience coordinating operations across multiple warehouses
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, carrier scorecards, or automated workflows
- Practical experience using AI tools to analyze data, improve processes, or reduce repetitive work

Pay: $48,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
