Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team at our production facility in Morell PEI, 30 mins east of Charlottetown.
The ideal candidate will have a background in woodworking and cabinetry, with the ability to create high-quality custom cabinets. This position requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for both new construction of cabinets and restoration projects, ensuring that all pieces meet our high standards of quality.
Duties
- Construct, assemble, and finish cabinets and custom millwork according to specifications.
- Restore existing cabinetry by repairing or refinishing surfaces as needed.
- Use various machines for precise cuts and designs in wood materials.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks such as cutting, shaping, sanding and assembling wood and wood products.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure product quality and time frames
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cabinet assembly, cutting, sanding finishing, milling, edge banding etc
- Ability to effectively use hand tools such as saws, planners, chisels, drills and other tools generally found in a wood working shopetc
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
