For over 30 years, we have grown from a two-person greenhouse into a 100-acre operation combining great science with dedicated care to supply the young plants that beautify homes and gardens across North America. As we continue to expand, we are looking for passionate individuals to help us cultivate the next season of growth.
We are looking for a Head Grower who leads with people-first and genuine scientific credibility close behind - bringing growing, propagation and new product development together under confident, technically grounded leadership. You will work closely with our Head of Horticultural Science to help shape the growing and science strategy, then lead its execution across a permanent core team and a seasonal workforce that grows to twenty or more people at peak.
This is a genuine leadership role, full-time and based on-site. You will set the tone for how the team works together day-to-day, build trust and consistent standards across the group, and grow into increasing scientific leadership responsibility over time.

- A strong, collaborative partnership with the Head of Horticultural Science on strategy, with your own scientific leadership growing over time.
- A growing function that is curious, evidence-driven and visibly improving season on season.

- You are the kind of leader who holds real authority, communicates with clarity and confidence, and does not get talked over or worked around.
- You have proven experience leading a growing or horticultural team at Head Grower level or equivalent, with real accountability for how the team performs, not just for technical output.
- You have a genuine, well grounded scientific and technical foundation in horticulture - this is not a role for people skills alone - and you keep sharpening that edge rather than resting on it.
- You decide quickly and clearly, but you bring people in rather than dictating to them, and you are honest when you do not yet have the answer.
- You have led people through demanding seasonal cycles, onboarding and developing a workforce that grows significantly at peak.
- You are commercially minded - comfortable with cost awareness and disciplined use of resources without compromising quality.
You will drive our propagation, IPM, and environmental control strategies using evidence-based decision-making. While a degree in plant science or horticulture is a plus, your practical depth and operational judgement matter more than a specific qualification or crop background.
