Reporting to Manager, Operations Technology and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient coordination and planning of maintenance activities for Canlin Energy. This role will ensure Canlin Energy has a standard approach to maintenance identification, planning, scheduling, execution and close-out. You will support MRA team and liaise with departments including HSER, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Field Operations.
The Role
As part of the Operations team in Calgary, you will be immersed in a high-pace collaborative environment with high ownership and accountability over maintenance. The role comes with an in-depth and heavy workload that is highly focused on planned and proactive activities. The team is diverse and leverages each coordinator’s skills and experience to appropriately challenge the necessity of all activity and costs at our facilities and wellsite’s. The outcome of the team environment is better decisions backed with analytical data.
This is a full-time corporate role based in the Calgary Head office and consists of a 40-hour work week.
- Responsible to maintain processing reliability throughout Canlin Energy assets
- Subject matter expert to support local coordinators for stationary equipment requirements, PSV handling, Valve maintenance, and other trades activities

Demonstrate and uphold all Canlin’s rules, guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to the operation.
- Assess, develop, and maintain maintenance procedures

Responsible for creating, updating and overall management of preventative maintenance plans and schedules pertaining to any stationary equipment, internal inspections, and PSVs in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Responsible for coordinating, and scheduling preventative maintenance and planned activities pertaining to stationary equipment (pipefitting, Insulating, Welding, Scaffolding, etc)
- Responsible for complex maintenance project planning, AFE generation, MOC and project management for major maintenance activities and outages.
- Responsible to liaise with supply chain for vendor management and optimization
- Liaise with other Canlin teams for effective management of assets. (e.g. Emissions requirements, Asset integrity Requirements, etc.)
- Responsible to challenge maintenance activity scope to ensure consistent approach across all operational areas
- Responsible to participate in maintenance continuous improvement initiatives
The Person
With a high number of active collaborators, the person in this role will require strong relational, inter-personal, and time management skills. New opportunities requiring solutions will be encountered on a daily occurrence and good stress management will be vital.
- Journeyman Trade Certificate
- Dual tickets will be considered an asset
- 10+ years of maintenance experience in upstream oil and gas plant and field environments preferred
- 5+ years of experience working in CMMS/EAM software preferred
- Experience in turn-around and shutdown project management
- Experience managing asset integrity requirement applicable to maintenance activities
- Experience planning and scheduling in an office environment
- Training or certification in maintenance management preferred (MMP)
- High school diploma
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
