Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Video Residential Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining audio and video systems in residential settings, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations.
Duties
- Install and configure home theater systems, speakers, amplifiers, and related audio/video equipment according to schematics and client specifications
- Run low voltage wiring through walls, ceilings, and attics with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Troubleshoot software issues related to AV equipment and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
- Use hand tools, mechanical knowledge, and electrical experience to complete installations efficiently
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for accurate system setup
- Conduct routine maintenance on installed systems to ensure long-term functionality
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain system features and provide basic training on operation
Experience
- Proven experience with hand tools, software troubleshooting, computer hardware, telecommunication, maintenance, mechanical knowledge, schematics, low voltage wiring, and electrical systems is highly desirable
- Prior work installing audio/video systems in residential environments is preferred
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
