To strengthen our team at our Brampton, Ontario location, we are looking for a Sales and Marketing Assistant.
Job Description:
- Support the Key Account Manager with RFQs, quotations, customer communication, presentations, customer portals, and basic marketing.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and commercial support to the Key Account Manager.
- Maintain customer contact lists, account information, and sales documentation.
- Prepare customer correspondence, meeting agendas, presentations, and reports.
- Track customer requests, action items, deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Initiate and manage project orders to track programs during the pre-serial phase and throughout engineering changes.
- Add tooling and prototype purchase orders to program project orders, process related invoicing.
- Create and maintain customer master data (bill-to, sold-to, ship-to) and sales orders upon receipt of serial production contracts.
- Maintain part prices according to long-term agreement (LTA) terms and engineering changes.
- Administer customer supplier portals (e.g., Cummins, GM SupplyPower, Ford Covisint, Stellantis eSC, IMDS): access, document uploads, schedule and PO acknowledgements.
- Support SAP tasks including BOM maintenance, report generation, and data clean-up.
- Prepare sales reports, presentations, and meeting minutes for the Sales team.
- Manage and coordinate company merchandise, including design, selection, ordering, inventory management, and distribution of promotional items.
- Part of the Social Media team
- Create and edit photos, videos and promotional materials (brochures, presentations, LinkedIn/website content) in line with SHW brand guidelines.
- Coordinate customer visits, trade shows and events: logistics, materials, facility walk-through preparation.
- Active member of the Social Event Committee.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or their designate.
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; co-op, internship or part-time office experience is an asset. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to track and manage project orders, invoices, and store documents accurately, to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Ability to identify issues, proactive follow-up and strong sense of ownership, and propose solutions in a timely manner, particularly in order management and invoicing.
- Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential business and employee information.
- Ability to work independently in a small organization, works well in a team while managing individual tasks and deadlines independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Customer-oriented attitude, professional and confident communication with customers.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, as required.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system is an asset.
- Exposure to automotive or manufacturing environments (IATF 16949, PPAP, customer portals) is desirable.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles, including the creation of promotional materials (photos, videos, etc.) using graphic/video tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar).
- Additional languages such as German, French, or another relevant business language are an asset.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle (on-site role).
