Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with food plating and garnishing to ensure attractive presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Stock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service during busy hours
- Adhere to health regulations and safety guidelines in all aspects of food handling and preparation
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to efficiently prepare meals while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices in meal preparation
- Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
