Hawkeye Security Group Inc. is currently hiring professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Guards for retail stores as well as construction sites, commercial properties, and other static security assignments throughout Winnipeg and the surrounding area.
As a Hawkeye Security Officer, you will help provide a safe and secure environment for our clients, their employees, customers, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a strong security presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence to deter theft, shoplifting, vandalism, and trespassing.
- Patrol assigned retail stores and static sites on foot or by vehicle, as required.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels where applicable.
- Observe, report, and document suspicious activity, policy violations, and security incidents.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, and client requests.
- Conduct access control at commercial and construction sites by monitoring visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Complete accurate daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
- Work closely with store management, clients, emergency services, and Hawkeye management when required.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a calm, respectful, and professional approach.
- Follow all client post orders and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard Licence (required).
- Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, construction security, or static guarding is considered an asset.
- Strong observation, communication, and conflict de-escalation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Strong report-writing and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
