Job Title: Donut Server
Reports To: Store Manager or Supervisor
The Role:
The Donut Server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, efficient order processing, teamwork, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This includes greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and courteous manner, accurately processing orders, addressing and resolving customer inquiries.
The Donut Server will also be assisting in the decoration of donuts and packaging of donut orders according to company standards, collaborating with team members to maintain smooth operations and meet customer needs, and ensuring cleanliness and organization in the front counter, kitchen area, and customer seating areas through regular cleaning duties. Overall, the role is focused on delivering a positive customer experience, contributing creative decoration of donuts, assist in efficient store operations, and upholding Lee’s Donut’s standards of quality in service.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate orders and efficiently process transactions using the register system.
- Assist in the preparation of donuts for decorating and packaging.
- Utilize various decorating techniques, such as icing, glazing, sprinkling, and piping, to craft visually stunning donuts.
- Assist with ingredient preparation, including mixing dough, preparing fillings, and creating glaze. Refill all decorating ingredients daily.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our product offerings and effectively communicate them to customers.
- Handle credit card and debit transactions with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment.
- Promote additional menu items to customers and assist in packing orders as needed.
- Keep the storefront clean and organized, including regular cleaning duties in both the front counter and kitchen areas.
Education Requirements:
- Food Safe Level 1 certification (can be obtained before first shift)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skill Requirements:
- Proficiency in operating a POS system and handling cash transactions.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 22 kg to a height of 1.7 meters
Soft Skill Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
