Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to support the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste efficiently
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions from chefs or senior kitchen staff
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld through proper handling, storage, and hygiene practices
- Help with serving food to customers when needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy
- Contribute to a positive guest experience through friendly communication and attentive service during meal times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with guests when necessary
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending as required in a busy kitchen environment
- Experience with kitchen equipment, including cooking appliances and cleaning tools, is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar cash register platforms is a plus
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and a passion for delivering quality guest services
