We are currently seeking an experienced Pest Control Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, identifying pest issues, implementing treatment programs, completing detailed service reports, and maintaining a high level of professionalism while representing the company in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform pest inspections for rodents, insects, and wildlife-related concerns
- Identify pest species, entry points, harborage areas, and contributing conditions
- Implement treatment programs using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles
- Install, maintain, and monitor rodent control devices and monitoring stations
- Complete detailed digital service reports and recommendations
- Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and facility staff
- Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and inventory
- Participate in after-hours or emergency service calls when required
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of pest control experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal record check
- Strong knowledge of rodent, ant, cockroach, bed bug, and stored product pest management
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service routes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in crawl spaces, attics, rooftops, ladders, and outdoor environments
Preferred
- Experience servicing commercial and residential accounts
- Exclusion and proofing experience
- Knowledge of digital reporting software
