We are seeking an experienced, licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician who is looking to step away from full-time wrenching while staying active in the industry. This position is ideal for a retired or semi-retired mechanic who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping apprentices develop the skills and confidence they need to become successful technicians.
As our Apprentice Mentor, you will work alongside our apprentices throughout the day, providing hands-on instruction, technical guidance, quality control, and ensuring repairs are completed safely and correctly. Your years of experience will play a vital role in developing our future workforce while supporting the continued growth of our shop.

Responsibilities
- Mentor 310T apprentices throughout their daily work.
- Provide hands-on training in truck and trailer diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Demonstrate proper repair procedures, safety practices, and industry best practices.
- Review completed work to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist apprentices in developing troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Help apprentices prepare for licensing milestones and practical evaluations.
- Work closely with shop management to monitor apprentice progress and identify training opportunities.
- Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.
- Provide technical support to technicians when required.
Qualifications
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License.
- Extensive experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer repair.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Patient, approachable, and committed to developing others.
- Ability to supervise apprentices while promoting safe work practices.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
