SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our finance team.
Duties
- Contributes to the finance and accounting team through completion of daily and monthly processes in the regular operations of the finance department and in the financial close process
- Post-secondary accounting program certificate or similar experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- 5 plus years related experience
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Ability and willingness to meet critical business deadlines
- Ensure that customer invoicing is completed within 24 hours of shipment and booked accurately
- Review Aged AR and manage cash collections, cash receipt applications, analysis of AFDA, etc.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Calculates required journal entries for the financial close process.
- Responsible for monthly inventory reporting and necessary adjustments impacting inventory or production/purchasing variances as well as involvement in year-end inventory counts
- Responsible for calculating monthly accruals and reclass entries, as needed
- Maintains and reconciles specific general ledger accounts on a monthly and annual basis.
- Process company payroll on a bi-weekly basis

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
