Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Opener for the morning shift to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth opening of the cafe, providing excellent customer service, and preparing a welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, food handling, and cash handling, with strong time management skills to efficiently manage opening duties. This position offers an opportunity to grow within the food industry while delivering exceptional service to our customers. MATURE INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN WORK AS EARLY AS 6:30AM AND MUST HAVE THIER OWN VEHICLE.
Responsibilities
- Open the cafe promptly at the start of the morning shift, ensuring all areas are clean and ready for service
- Prepare and serve beverages and light food items, following food safety standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Restock supplies, condiments, and ingredients as needed to maintain smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or preparing coffee beverages
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cafe opening procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or food industry roles such as barista, server, or cashier is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Experience in food handling, food safety practices, and basic math skills related to cash handling is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely opening and efficient service during busy mornings
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Previous experience in serving or food preparation roles will be considered a plus
