Big Bear Trading Company is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual with retail experience to be our Team Lead!
The Team Lead works closely with the Store Manager and the Assistant Store Manager to coach our retail team to achieve operational goals, deliver exceptional customer experiences, foster culture, and drive sales growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Provide consistent mentorship and guidance to all team members and help build a fun and rewarding team environment.
- Coach junior employees to become high performers.
- Provide excellent customer service in an authentically engaging manner.
- Maintain knowledge of merchandise, promotions, sales, store policies regarding payment and exchanges, security practices, and our point-of-sale system.
- Process supply & coin orders, online orders, and transfer damaged merchandise.
- Ensure company policies & procedures are being followed in all store areas.
- Process warehouse deliveries and manage inventory, including restocking the store.
- Ensure the store is clean and tidy, bright and inviting.
- Open and close the store during scheduled shifts.
On your application, we’ll be looking for the following qualifications:
- 6+ months of retail experience.
- Proven teamwork and leadership skills.
- Flexible to adapt to the needs of the store and the team.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiar with Microsoft Outlook and point-of-sale systems.
