Job Function:
o Responsible for supervision, safety and well-being of children
o Responds to the needs of each child using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques
o Helps with planning, preparing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity and learning.
o Participates consistently as a conscientious team member in caring for the children and maintains open communication with all co-workers
o Establishes and maintains regular communication with parents
Education and Qualifications:
o Diploma in Early Childhood Education (If applicable)
o Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (in good standing - if applicable)
o 2+ years of experience working with children
o Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (A must)
o Up-to-date health form filled out with Ministry required immunizations
o Criminal background check (VSS) (A must)
