Position Summary
Macson Projects Inc. are seeking an experienced and motivated Pipeline & Facilities
Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
leading the estimating, planning, execution, and delivery of pipeline and facility
construction projects from conception through commissioning throughout Alberta and
British Columbia in conventional oil and gas.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage
multiple stakeholders while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within
budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage pipeline and facility projects through all phases including estimating,
planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource
forecasts.
Coordinate with clients, engineering consultants, contractors, regulatory
agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory
requirements.
Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior
management and clients.
Review client specifications, survey/construction plans, and project
documentation.
Manage contract administration, change orders, and project costs.
Support procurement activities including bid evaluations and contractor selection.
Oversee field construction activities and ensure quality standards are met.
Foster a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of project management and or construction experience in
pipeline and facilities construction.
Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and project
teams.
Strong understanding of pipeline construction, facility development, and
applicable regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Experience
Pipeline Construction experience of medium to small size (NPS 16 and smaller,
up to 50Km)
Well-pad and facility experience in the conventional oil and gas space.
Construction management in remote or environmentally sensitive locations.
Experience working with Indigenous communities and stakeholder engagement
processes.
