At Altea, the smoothie bar and café are not an afterthought. They are part of the member journey, the fuel before a class, the recovery after a session, the reason a member lingers instead of leaving. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is the person who runs that experience at a standard the rest of the club is proud of. You lead the F&B team, hold the quality and hospitality bar, and make sure every member interaction at the counter reflects what Altea stands for.
If you have led a food and beverage team in a premium environment and found yourself caring more about the experience than most people expected you to, this role was built for you.
- Your Team: You hire, train, develop, and hold accountable the F&B team. You set the standard through how you show up, not just what you say. Their consistency is a direct reflection of your leadership.
- The Member Experience at the Counter: Every interaction at the smoothie bar and café is an opportunity to reinforce why members chose Altea. You make sure your team treats it that way.
- Your Operation: Inventory, ordering, prep standards, equipment maintenance, food safety compliance, you run a tight, clean, efficient operation that never lets the experience slip.
- The Quality Standard: Menu consistency, presentation, speed of service, and taste are non-negotiables. You audit them regularly and you address gaps before members notice them.
- The Numbers: Revenue, cost of goods, waste, and labour efficiency are yours to watch. You know your margins and you manage within them.
You are not here to manage a blender and a cash register. You are here to lead a team that makes the F&B experience feel like an extension of everything Altea does well.
- You lead from the floor. You are behind the counter when it matters. Your team sees you doing the work, holding the standard, and caring about the detail and that is how they know what excellent looks like.
- You are a hospitality person at heart. You notice when a member is waiting too long before they say anything. You know when the energy at the counter is off and you do something about it. The member experience is personal to you.
- You hold the standard without being reminded. Clean surfaces, consistent recipes, proper presentation, these are not things you check when there is an inspection. They are things you care about on every shift because you are proud of what you serve.
- You develop the people around you. You give feedback in the moment, you invest in your team's growth, and you build a crew that performs well whether you are behind the counter or not.
- You do not wait to be told. You see inventory running low before it runs out. You notice a piece of equipment behaving oddly before it fails. You act because you understand what a disruption to the F&B operation costs the club and its members.
- 2–4 years of experience in a food and beverage supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a premium hospitality or fitness environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and maintain a high service and quality standard across varied conditions
- Strong working knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and health code compliance
- Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, preferred
- Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement
