Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Community Relations Manager to lead occupancy growth at one of our retirement residences in the Kitchener area.
This role is responsible for generating leads, managing inquiries, conducting tours, building strong referral partnerships, and converting prospective residents into move-ins. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder with a proven track record in sales, business development, or occupancy management within retirement living, healthcare, hospitality, or senior living.
Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Conduct engaging and personalized tours for prospective residents and their families.
- Build trust and guide families through the decision-making process to maximize tour-to-move-in conversions.
- Maintain consistent, timely follow-up with prospects and referral sources.
- Develop and maintain strong referral partnerships with hospitals, Ontario Health atHome, physicians, rehabilitation centres, community organizations, and local businesses.
- Represent the residence at networking events, community outreach initiatives, open houses, and educational seminars.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, tours, follow-up activities, and sales performance within the CRM system.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team to develop and execute occupancy strategies.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from the initial inquiry through a successful move-in.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retirement living, senior housing, healthcare, hospitality, admissions, or other occupancy-driven sales environments.
- Demonstrated success in converting leads into tours and tours into permanent move-ins.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong sales acumen with excellent follow-up and pipeline management skills.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with seniors, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge healthcare network and community referral sources is considered an asset.
Compensation
Base salary + commission
This opportunity is designed for a motivated professional who wants to be rewarded for strong performance, occupancy growth, and successful lead conversion.
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
