Certified Pilates Instructor
The opportunity
We are looking for a certified Pilates Instructor to teach group Reformer and small-group classes at our West Vancouver studio. The ideal instructor is technically confident, attentive to individual needs and able to create classes that feel both effective and welcoming.
What you'll do
- Teach safe, engaging group Reformer and small-group Pilates classes.
- Create structured class plans for clients with different experience and ability levels.
- Provide clear verbal cueing, demonstrations, corrections, progressions and modifications.
- Support clients with posture, strength, core connection, mobility and body awareness.
- Use Mat, Reformer, small balls, resistance bands and other small props confidently.
- Maintain a calm, inclusive and professional class environment.
- Prepare equipment before class and leave the teaching space clean and organized.
- Arrive prepared and on time for every scheduled session.
What you bring
- A recognized Pilates teaching certificate.
- At least one year of Pilates teaching experience.
- Group Reformer and small-group teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, alignment and safe movement principles.
- Fluent, professional spoken English, required for safety cueing and client communication.
- Warm, clear and confident communication.
- Reliability, punctuality and a collaborative attitude.
- Availability to commit to at least 12 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work or provide services in Canada and the ability to commute reliably to West Vancouver.
- Personal professional-liability insurance, or willingness to obtain it before starting.
Experience with prenatal, postpartum or special-population programming and current First Aid/CPR certification are considered assets.
Compensation and engagement
$35-$50 per scheduled teaching hour, based on certification, teaching experience and class responsibilities.
This is intended to be an independent-contractor opportunity. The final arrangement will be documented in a written service agreement and must reflect a genuine contractor relationship.
