Position Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate and maintain heavy machinery used for construction, excavation, or related site activities. This role focuses on safe equipment operation, supporting daily operations, and ensuring tasks are completed according to project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, graders, or similar machinery.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance requirements.
- Maintain safe operating practices while working on job sites.
- Coordinate with site teams to complete assigned tasks and activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify operational issues.
- Review work instructions and follow project specifications.
- Support loading, moving, and handling of materials as required.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and assist with routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support site operations.
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment in construction, industrial, or related environments.
- Knowledge of safe equipment operation procedures and workplace practices.
- Ability to operate and control heavy machinery effectively.
- Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and identify issues.
- Understanding of job site safety requirements and procedures.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Valid certification or licence for equipment operation, where required by applicable regulations.
Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edmonton, AB
