Automotive Service Technician

Position Summary:
Inukshuk Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our fully equipped 5,000 ft² shop. The successful candidate will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance while supervising apprentices and coordinating daily workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on light-duty and commercial vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, inspections, etc.)
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (Snap-on Verus Pro, Toughbook systems)
- Supervise and mentor two apprentices, ensuring quality and efficiency of work
- Work closely with the Service Writer to prioritize jobs, communicate findings, and manage workflow
- Operate shop equipment (2-post & 4-post hoists, tire machine, specialty tools)
- Maintain accurate work orders and ensure high-quality workmanship
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications:
- Certified Automotive Service Technician (Journeyman RED SEAL)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Leadership experience or ability to supervise apprentices
- Experience with scan tools and modern vehicle systems
- Valid driver’s licence

Pay: From $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60.0 – 70.0 per week
