Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. Previous experience with POS systems, along with restaurant or food industry background, is highly valued. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a memorable experience for our patrons while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
- Use POS systems for order entry, billing, and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Manage cash transactions accurately and handle cashiering responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels
- Assist in serving food when required and support overall restaurant operations
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact positively with guests
Bartender Qualifications:
- 1+ years of bartending experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be of legal drinking age
- AGLC ProServe Liquor Certificate
- AGLC ReelFacts Certificate
- Ability to multitask
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Must be able to stand for 8-hour shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
