Job Summary
We are an established gardening/landscaping business seeking to fill one full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in plants, and in ever expanding their knowledge in the field. Also a class 5 driver's license or better is a must. Please do not apply if you are not able to drive.
The properties we maintain are generally speaking multi-year, high-end single family homes. No apartments, no commercial sites, nothing downtown. While significant experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right people coming in green.
Responsibilities
- Mow lawns, trim shrubs, prune trees, and perform general landscape maintenance to keep gardens tidy and healthy
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, trimming, edging, and other gardening tasks
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery according to landscape plans or client preferences
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed to promote plant health
- Remove weeds, debris, and dead plant material to maintain a clean outdoor space
- Assist with seasonal clean-up activities such as leaf removal and winterization of plants
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes
- Experience operating power tools including trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and horticulture principles
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of plant care and landscape design principles
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
