Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to pioneer our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing according to client specifications and breed standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Assess each dog’s coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or products
- Handle dogs safely and gently, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to accommodate client requests and ensure timely service delivery
- Assist with heavy lifting when handling larger or heavier dogs during grooming procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog grooming or related pet care services is preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting of large dogs
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and gentle handling techniques
- Good organizational skills to manage appointments and maintain a tidy workspace
- Ability to work well within a team environment while providing exceptional pet care services
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
