Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and preventing loss or theft. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observation skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not mandatory. The Security Officer will play a vital role in safeguarding assets and upholding safety protocols across our facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security of all areas.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Enforce loss prevention measures by observing and deterring theft or vandalism.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports.
- Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures to promote a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or related fields is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security threats quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all duties.
- Valid security license or certification may be required depending on jurisdiction.
