Job Purpose
The Project Supervisor bridges the gap between project planning and field-level execution. This role is responsible for translating daily and weekly schedules from Project Managers into safe, highly efficient field operations. You will direct crew performance, coordinate logistics, and execute heavy industrial above-ground storage tank cleaning, hydrocarbon reclamation, and automated equipment setup. Operating in a safety-critical environment, you must maintain high operational standards for both yourself and your team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Direct and manage field crews executing manual and automated cleaning of above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) in compliance with client specifications.
- Supervise the mobilization, safe setup, operation, and teardown of site infrastructure, jet mixing equipment, and Automatic Tank Cleaning (ATC) systems.
- Prioritize daily tasks and work assignments to meet client timelines, project milestones, and rigorous operational standards.
- Perform occasional shop maintenance between projects to ready machinery and tools for re-mobilization.
Logistics, Resource & Crew Management
· Plan, organize, and inventory all required project equipment, specialized tools, and company-provided PPE prior to site mobilization.
· Coordinate and supervise the safe transport and delivery of high-value company assets to various regional and international job sites.
· Manage personnel scheduling and crew fatigue under demanding rotational shift guidelines (including 10-hour standard shifts and 12.5-hour 24/7 automated operations).
· Conduct continuous, on-the-job visual competency tracking and performance coaching for field-level execution roles.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Mitigation
· Enforce absolute adherence to corporate safety frameworks, heavy industrial regulations, and client-specific site requirements.
· Lead job hazard assessments (JHAs), daily toolbox talks, and safety meetings, ensuring active risk mitigation on all work fronts.
· Oversee and secure safety compliance for high-hazard activities, including Confined Space Entry, gas monitoring, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
· Enforce strict compliance with company policies, including fit-for-duty standards and Drug & Alcohol policies.

Experience & Requirements
· Experience: 5+ years of experience in a supervisor or foreman role.
· Specialized Experience: Experience with tank cleaning operations is preferred.
· Technical Knowledge: Must have hands-on knowledge of mechanics, pumps, and hydraulics.
· Field Experience: Direct experience working with confined space entry.
Physical & Operational Demands:
· Ability to work in confined spaces and while wearing breathing apparatus (Fresh Air and Full Face).
· Capable of working long shifts daily for extended periods.
· Travel: Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America for projects.
