Broadway Café & Grill is currently hiring an experienced Server/Bartender to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused individual who can confidently handle both serving and bartending responsibilities in a busy restaurant environment.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant serving experience is required.
- Previous bartending experience is required.
- Valid Smart Serve Certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Experience using restaurant POS systems and handling cash/card transactions.
- Professional, friendly, and attentive approach to guest service.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Provide guests with information about menu items, specials, and beverage options.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Follow established drink recipes and proper portioning standards.
- Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with Ontario requirements.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and check on guests throughout their visit.
- Process bills and payments accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain clean and properly set tables, dining areas, and bar areas.
- Keep the bar organized, clean, and appropriately stocked.
- Complete opening, closing, and assigned side duties.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
- Assist with reservations, larger groups, and special events as required.

Applicants must have flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
