Capital Auto Group's dedicated Service Departments are there to help our customers preserve their purchase and keep their vehicle running properly. We are looking for a candidate who will represent our brand image and will ensure a positive customer experience to all our customers.
As a Journey Automotive Technician your main responsibilities will be to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electronic systems, and components of vehicles serviced and owned by Capital Auto Group. We need a proactive self-starter that is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A candidate who is proud of their work and will be a positive addition to our growing team!
A day in the life…
- Troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, including fuel, brake, steering and suspension systems, transmissions, differentials, drive axles and shafts, emission control and exhaust systems, engines and electrical, cooling and climate control systems by using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
- Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups on occasion
- Removing and remounting tires on vehicle wheels, test and repair tires and inner tubes, and balance tires and wheels on occasion
- Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives before and after repair and maintenance work
- Advising customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements
- Additional responsibilities as assigned, subject to periodic adjustments to align with company objectives

- Competency with tools required for repair of all assigned jobs and able to operate lifting devices
- Highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
- Able to read technical diagrams and instructions and use diagnostic equipment
- Demonstrates outstanding attendance with consistent punctual arrival at the workplace
- Ensures safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors
What We Require From You…
- Having full body mobility and the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time with hands above the head
- Certificate of graduation from an Apprenticeship Program at a recognized technical training institute with Journeyperson Status is a MUST
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a Driver's Abstract
- Record of Conduct
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
