Position Description
Our Family Health Team is seeking a positive, energetic, and collaborative leader who can share in the FHT’s passion for providing high quality health care services. Our Senior Clinic Manager will create a work environment that enhances staff engagement and is committed to growing the capabilities of our team, as well as their own capabilities.
Position responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, overall day-to-day management and leadership of the Family Health Team (FHT)
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary health providers to develop, support and evaluate team-based programs and services that meet the needs of the needs of the community.
Create a work environment that enhances staff engagement and fosters collaborative team practice
Lead the quality improvement efforts of the FHT
Promote awareness of FHT programs and services to patients of the FHT
Safeguard systems and structures for the effective management and control of the FHT including financial controls and the employment, development, control, and direction of employees of the FHT
Manages staff performance by establishing performance standards, reviewing and evaluation performance, and conducting formal performance reviews
Maintain an effective risk management plan
Manage facilities for which the FHT is responsible
Represent the FHT externally with other organizations and agencies
Qualifications:
A passion for creating a positive work environment and building an engaged team of
interdisciplinary health care providers and administrative staff
Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Health care management experience, including working with non-profit Boards, health care professionals and community organizations is preferred
Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
Knowledge of primary care principles and the Family Health Team model of care is an asset
Ability to represent the FHT in the community and provide leadership for the organization
Ability to lead change, establish priorities to accomplish goals, and to organize work in a busy
environment – excellent problem-solving skills
Flexibility, initiative, and resourcefulness to work at a senior management level
Experience providing direct patient care would be considered an asset
Employment Conditions:
Work is generally performed in office and community settings.
Work hours can be flexible.
Work involves regular driving. A valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.
Some overnight travel may be required.
Compensation
Salary for this position is $93,000/year plus a competitive health benefits package and HOOPP
pension plan.
