PROPERTY MAINTENANCE HANDYMAN
Location: Calgary & Surrounding Areas
Position: Full-Time Handyman
Industry: Property Management / Residential Rentals
We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and responsible Full-Time Handyman to join our property management maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily maintenance work orders at rental properties
- Drywall patching and minor repairs
- Painting and touch-ups
- Door, lock, cabinet, baseboard and trim repairs
- Caulking and general household repairs
- Minor plumbing repairs within qualifications
- Basic appliance troubleshooting and repairs
- Minor flooring repairs
- Shelving, blinds, curtain rods and hardware installation
- Move-in and move-out property preparation
- Garbage/unwanted-item removal when required
- Identify larger maintenance problems and report them to management
- Take before-and-after photos for every job
- Submit receipts and report materials used
- Provide daily updates on completed and pending jobs
Requirements:
- Previous handyman, construction, renovation, or property-maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle to travel between properties
- Basic handyman tools
- Smartphone for work orders, photos and communication
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Professional when working in tenant-occupied properties
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Experience Considered a Strong Asset:
- Plumbing experience
- HVAC/heating system experience
- Electrical experience
- Appliance repair experience
- Renovation/construction experience
- Troubleshooting residential maintenance problems
Experience with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems is a strong asset. Any work that legally requires a licensed or certified tradesperson must only be completed by someone appropriately qualified and authorized.
