Our client is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join their team in Hamilton. What You'll Be Doing
As an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of production equipment. Responsibilities include:

Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Performing preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment issues.
-
Reading and interpreting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.

Completing emergency breakdown repairs quickly and safely.
-
Participating in equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-
Completing work orders and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
-
Following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazard identification, and emergency response protocols.

Ensuring all repairs meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to improve operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
-
Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Licence.
-
General Machinist certification with significant industrial maintenance experience will also be considered.

Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience maintaining heavy industrial production equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.
-
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
-
Computer skills for maintenance management systems and documentation.
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-
A strong commitment to workplace safety.
Schedule
-
Rotating Day and Night shifts
-
10 to 12-hour shifts
-
Approximately 44-48 hours per week
