Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift driver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, including order picking, equipment handling, and inventory management systems. This position offers an opportunity to develop mechanical skills and gain hands-on experience in warehouse logistics.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and prepare orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure timely shipment
- Operate equipment such as clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling machinery safely and efficiently
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance when necessary
- Conduct heavy lifting of products and materials to meet order specifications
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse work area
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
- Use basic math skills for verifying quantities and measurements during order picking
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all equipment operation including clamp trucks and forklifts
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Experience with order picker equipment or similar machinery is advantageous
- Basic math skills are necessary for accurate order fulfillment
- Mechanical knowledge or background is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in order picking tasks
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
