Job Description:
Cybersecurity Sr. Project Manager
Position Summary: The Technical Cybersecurity Sr. Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of complex cybersecurity initiatives that strengthen enterprise protection, reduce exposure, improve resiliency, and enable real-time defense capabilities. This role will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, cybersecurity service owners, infrastructure and cloud partners, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact security outcomes across external attack surface protection, network segmentation, recovery validation, risk-based authentication, and AI-driven threat detection.
Program Focus: The role will support a cybersecurity transformation program focused on limiting enterprise exposure, enforcing segmentation-by-default and improving cyber resiliency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Execution: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex cybersecurity projects across multiple technical domains. Develop integrated project plans, milestones, dependency maps, readiness criteria, and execution roadmaps to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments are met.
Technical Delivery Coordination: Partner with Security Architects, Cloud Engineers, Network Engineers, Identity teams, Application Owners, Cyber Recovery teams, and Detection and Response stakeholders to translate technical objectives into executable plans and measurable deliverables.
Governance, Risk, and Issue Management: Establish and maintain project governance routines, RAID logs, escalation paths, decision records, quality gates, and control validation checkpoints. Proactively identify delivery risks, technical blockers, compliance impacts, resource constraints, and operational readiness gaps.
Stakeholder Engagement and Executive Communication: Serve as the central point of coordination for assigned Cybersecurity initiatives. Prepare clear executive-level updates, status reports, hot spot summaries, decision requests, and leadership briefings that communicate progress, risk posture, dependencies, and required actions.
Security Control Adoption and Validation: Drive implementation readiness, adoption tracking, exception management, test planning, evidence collection, and validation for security controls related to WAF, gateways, segmentation, recovery, authentication, and continuous threat hunting.
Resource, Financial, and Vendor Management: Coordinate resource planning, budget tracking, vendor deliverables, procurement dependencies, and external partner performance to ensure commitments are visible, managed, and aligned with program objectives.
Change Management and Operational Readiness: Lead planning for communications, training, operational handoff, support model readiness, and transition-to-run activities to ensure delivered capabilities are sustainable after implementation.
Continuous Improvement and Value Realization: Capture lessons learned, track outcomes and residual risk reduction, identify process improvements, and support reporting that demonstrates measurable cybersecurity value and business impact.

Ability to translate complex technical work into clear business-facing updates, executive decision points, and actionable delivery plans.
Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and written communication skills.
Specialized Knowledge and Technical Skills
Working knowledge and understanding of Asset Inventory / Ownership Governance, Attack Path / Risk Prioritization and Deception and Proactive Detection.
Knowledge of cyber resiliency practices, recovery validation, backup and restore testing, disaster recovery planning, and operational readiness validation.
Understanding of risk-based authentication, identity security, conditional access, adaptive access, privileged access controls, and access governance concepts.
Ability to partner with technical teams to define acceptance criteria, validation evidence, control effectiveness metrics, and project readiness documentation.
