Design Associate/Sales Representative - Custom Closet & Home Organization Solutions

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Design Associate/Sales Representative to join our Calgary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in custom closet design, retail sales, interior design and in-home organization solutions who thrives on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
About the Role
As a Design/Sales Consultant, you will work directly with homeowners to design customized storage and organization solutions for closets, pantries, mudrooms, home offices, garages, and more. You'll combine your design expertise, product knowledge, and consultative sales skills to create solutions that truly improve clients' homes and lifestyles. Our showroom is by appointment only so you will be working in our showroom as well as providing in-home consultations.
The ideal candidate understands both the design and installation aspects of custom storage systems and is passionate about helping customers bring their vision to life.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home consultations and showroom appointments
- Listen carefully to clients' needs and develop customized storage solutions
- Measure spaces accurately and prepare detailed designs
- Create professional design presentations and quotations
- Exceptional customer service skills to build rapport and develop relationship with your customers during and after their design consultations
- Guide clients through the sales process from initial consultation to project completion
- Collaborate closely with installers and production teams to ensure successful execution
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to generate referrals and repeat business
- Participate in networking events and community outreach opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Proven success in sales, a strong closer.
- Experience in custom closet design, home organization, or related industries.
- Experience designing and selling custom storage or closet solutions.
- Understanding of closet installation processes, materials, and space-planning principles.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover client needs and provide solutions.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong measuring and space-planning skills.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and follow-ups.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Professional, positive, and results-driven attitude.
Qualifications
- Interior design education or related experience
- Direct industry experience and/or in-home sales experience
- Experience using design software programs
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for in-home consultations
