The South-Central Region is looking to hire a Placement Coordinator to join the new Placements Team!
As a Placement Coordinator, you will provide a vital regional response to placement services for children and youth entering care, as well as those transitioning between resources. This role is crucial in minimizing placement trauma and ensuring that matching processes are child-centered, culturally appropriate, and rooted in Child Intervention practice.
Regional Placement Response: Coordinate and facilitate the immediate and planned placement of children and youth into foster care, kinship care, group care, and treatment facilities across the South-Central Region.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison and central hub for a diverse stakeholder network, including Child Intervention Practitioners, Supervisors, Managers, Directors, group/treatment care staff, and licensing/regional contract resource teams.
Transition Planning: Develop and support comprehensive transition plans that promote stability and continuity, minimizing the disruption to the child’s educational, cultural, and social environments.
Resource Optimization: Monitor regional placement capacity, ensuring effective utilization of contracted and internal resources while identifying systemic gaps in service delivery.
