Squamish Toyota is looking for a motivated and career-focused 2nd or 3rd Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our busy and growing service department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice who wants to advance their skills while working alongside experienced technicians in a modern, high-volume dealership environment. You'll gain hands-on experience with the latest automotive technologies, receive ongoing manufacturer training, and work toward achieving your Red Seal certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair work under the guidance of licensed technicians.
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns appropriate to apprenticeship level.
- Perform services including brakes, suspension, steering, tires, alignments, and preventative maintenance.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and service information systems.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate findings effectively.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Participate in ongoing apprenticeship and manufacturer training programs.
Qualifications
- Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice in British Columbia.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to professional development.
- Experience in a dealership environment is considered an asset.
- Toyota experience is an asset but not required.
