We at the Queens Health Centre are seeking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant-Clinician RPN to join our healthcare team. This role requires excellent organizational skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Prior experience in medical or office settings is preferred, along with proficiency in office management software .
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing a welcoming environment
- Verifying patients demographics and Ohip card update records accurately
- Handle phone systems to answer inquiries, and schedule appointments
- Assist with check-in and check-out, including collecting co-pays and updating patient information
- Prepare and process paperwork for billing purposes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Assisting Physicians with their orders
- Coverage for staffing during employee vacations
Skills
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as PsSuite
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to healthcare settings
- Experience in a Medical office environment is highly desirable prior experience working in a Medical Office or Healthcare setting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients
- Ability to handle administrative tasks accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure
