Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator and Inside Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team for a 15-month contract (with the possibility for extension). In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and quotes, interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure pricing and technical requirements are aligned. You will play a key role in managing sales orders, responding to customer inquiries, and building strong relationships with our dealer network through ongoing communication and support. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
Duties
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and detailed quotes for project opportunities
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documents to ensure precise pricing and scope alignment
- Complete product quantity takeoffs using architectural drawings and digital takeoff tools
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing (RFQs) and issue RFIs to clarify project details
- Process sales orders, including revisions and cancellations, while ensuring alignment with design drawings and project requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the dealer network, building strong relationships and providing timely updates on orders, shipping, and technical information
Skills
- At least 2 years total experience in estimating
- Inside sales experience
- Ability to fluently read and interpret construction documents, including but not limited to specifications, blueprints, architectural drawings, and data sheets
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and Excel
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks training
- Intermediate math skills including the ability to convert fractions to decimals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Dependable, reliable, and able to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Has a “can-do” attitude
