Job Purpose
- The Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all company facilities, including the assembly plant, shipping & receiving areas, manufacturing spaces, office, and kitchen environments. This role ensures that all areas are kept clean, organized, and safe for employees and visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in all areas of the facility.
- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Clean and restock restrooms to ensure they are hygienic and well-maintained.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, including desks, countertops, equipment, and high touch surface areas (eg. doorknobs) to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a healthy environment.
- Maintain floors by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning as needed.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces to ensure they are free of smudges and streaks.
- Monitor and replenish supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Report any replenishment, maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager to ensure timely resolution.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Performing a variety of other cleaning/maintenance activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills to report issues and interact with team members.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
Working conditions
Working conditions are within climate-controlled office environments as well as light industrial machining and assembly areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
