We are currently looking for a Machine Operator with their 4th Class Power Engineering ticket to join our team at our Surrey, BC Plant.
As a Machine Operator at Aqua-Pak, you will work as part of the plant maintenance team, setting up and maintaining all equipment, tooling, and facilities related to producing, manufacturing, and packaging EPS products, in addition to maintaining the boilers.
Shift Schedule:
This position will be on a rotating shift schedule, where you will be required to work two weeks on the morning shift, two weeks on the afternoon shift, and two weeks on the overnight shift (Monday - Friday). Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

This position has high likelihood to move into a supervisory position, which comes with a 14% increase in your job classification's hourly rate of pay.
Duties:
- Set up all production equipment for producing, manufacturing, and packaging EPS products – as per quality standards - within target cycle times, maximizing throughput and minimizing any avoidable down times and scrap.
- Report any irregularities found with the production tooling or the operation of any equipment.
- Maintain and repair production equipment and tooling as directed.
- Maintain and repair all production tooling with the appropriate record keeping.
- Ensure spare parts and tooling component inventories are maintained.
- Assist the Maintenance Mechanic as directed.
- Provide coverage to Charge Hands for break relief
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Fulfill duties as required by the EMS (Environmental Management System) and the QMS (Quality Management System)
- Train and instruct others in the safe operation of all equipment
- Special projects, as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4th Class Power Engineer certification or working towards 3rd Class Power Engineer certification.
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC and hydraulic service and repair.
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Good mathematical and proficient computer skills (Windows, Office 2000, Outlook)
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate effectively.
