Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. While this position is responsible for the procurement of goods and services, supplier management, inventory planning, and coordinating logistics to support production, it is not a traditional desk-based purchasing role.
This position is deeply integrated into our day-to-day production operations and requires the successful candidate to spend a significant amount of time on the production floor and in the shipping and receiving department. The Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator will work closely with production, cultivation, post-harvest, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehouse teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of operational needs and inventory levels.
A key responsibility of this role is maintaining firsthand knowledge of the materials, equipment, and supplies entering and leaving the facility. The successful candidate will actively participate in shipping and receiving activities, verify incoming shipments, organize inventory, conduct regular inventory counts, and ensure stock levels accurately reflect the operational requirements of the facility. This hands-on involvement is essential to making informed purchasing decisions, preventing inventory shortages, and ensuring uninterrupted production.
Rather than relying solely on reports or inventory systems, the Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator is expected to be physically present within the operation, building strong relationships across departments, identifying purchasing needs before they become production issues, and ensuring materials flow efficiently throughout the facility. This role requires someone who enjoys being actively involved in operations, is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, and understands that effective purchasing begins with a thorough understanding of what is happening on the production floor.

- Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Shipping Coordination: Collaborate to arrange transportation of purchased goods, ensuring on-time delivery to warehouses or production facilities.
- Delivery Scheduling: Oversee the scheduling and tracking of deliveries, minimizing delays and resolving any shipping issues.
- Logistics Optimization: Work with logistics partners to identify and implement more efficient transportation routes, reducing costs and improving delivery times.
- Inventory Tracking: Monitor and track purchased goods from suppliers to final delivery points, ensuring smooth flow of materials into the supply chain.
