Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Perinatal Psychotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Social Worker (MSW) or a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with practice and training in somatic psychotherapy & perinatal mental health. This role involves providing therapeutic support to pregnant women, new mothers, and their families, focusing on emotional well-being during the perinatal period. This also includes clients who have experienced birth trauma, pregnancy loss and pelvic floor pain. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care within a multidisciplinary setting, emphasizing evidence-based practices and holistic support for families navigating the challenges of pregnancy and early motherhood.
Compensation:
- $114 per client hour
- Regular case consultations / Peer Supervision

Responsibilities:
- Client intakes and assessments
- Psychotherapy services

Requirements:
- Registered with OCSWSSW and holds a Master of Social Work degree OR or with CRPO Registered Psychotherapist
- Valid professional liability insurance to practice Psychotherapy in Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years of Psychotherapy practice experience
- Experience both practicing with clients and doing your own therapeutic work with somatic embodied psychotherapy
- Willingness to attend and engage with biweekly/weekly clinical consultations
Qualifications:
- A compassionate presence and ability to be with people's pain
- A capacity to navigate sitting with narratives of trauma from a compassionate and resourced stance.
- A passion and commitment for learning and continuing education
- Training in compassion based somatic psychotherapy
- Previous experience in trauma-informed psychotherapy, front-line mental health work and training in trauma treatment models, Compassionate Inquiry, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, NARM, EXAT, EMDR, IFS, and/ or somatic therapy is a strong asset

- Practicing somatic based psychotherapy and have experience using these techniques on/with yourself as well. Perinatal, parenting support, women's health, perimenopause experience also needed.
Registration/Certification:
- Registration with OCSWSSW as a Registered Social Worker (Ontario) or with CRPO Registered Psychotherapist (Ontario) Required
