Overview
We are seeking vigilant and dependable Security Guards for on-call and casual shifts to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in law enforcement or security, who are attentive to detail and committed to maintaining a secure environment. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate varying availability, making it suitable for those seeking part-time or supplemental work.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity and identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, following established protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts
- Enforce loss prevention policies by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or damage
- Assist visitors and employees by providing directions or information as needed
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to ensure safety
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is advantageous
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activity quickly
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet company security requirements
